Tango Property Group has been engaged by Coles in a development management role for the 11.5ha site at 490–528 Coburns Road, Kurunjang, during the planning and civil phases. The development application proposes a full-line Coles supermarket supported by specialty retail, food and beverage, medical, and gym uses, complemented by a new town square and enhanced public realm. The scheme necessitates major upgrades to the existing intersection, road widening along Coburns Road, and extensive servicing authority works. A key challenge has been securing Urban Design Framework approval to align with Melton City Council objectives prior to lodgement of the development application which has required extensive engagement from all stakeholders.
