Alfred Quarter represents a precinct wide urban renewal development in North Melbourne. Tango were engaged from concept stage to comprehensively re-position the design from a former mixed-use scheme, to resident-first precinct comprised of BTR, BTS and Affordable Housing with a focus on placemaking and open space amenity. The masterplan has evolved as a collaboration with, Fender Katsilidis + Cera Stribley architects and planning authorities to drive density whilst generating a compelling imprint on Melbourne’s city fringe. Delivery will consist of three towers across~950 apartments with complimentary retail amenity to include a supermarket, gymnasium, civic space and charming al-fresco café emerging from heritage listed stables framing an open-space square.
